CHRISTMAS PUDDING
1/2 lb butter
1/2 lb brown sugar
1/4 lb raisins
3/4 lb sultanas
4 oz candied peel
6 oz breadcrumbs
6 oz SR flour
2 1/2 oz almonds
1/2 grated nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground ginger, allspice & cinnamon
1 tsp salt
4 eggs
2 Tab brandy
1/2 cup milk
Beat butter & sugar to a cream. Add eggs, then dry ingredients and milk, and then the brandy.
Steam for 7 hours
NOTE: We think she added whole almonds after it was cooked, so they didn’t soften.
