175g oats
60g plain flour
rind of 1 lemon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp bicarb
60g each of black treacle & golden syrup & butter
2 Tab milk

  1. Place treacle, syrup and butter in a jug and mw 2 mins.
  2. Mix tog. oats, flour, rind & ginger. Add syrup drys and mix well.
  3. Mix milk & bicarb, add to mixt and beat well.
  4. Prepare a suitable container with clear wrap or parchment.
  5. Put mixt. in and press down well, mw 2 mins then turn and repeat.
  6. MW for further 1 min. Turn out and leave to cool.

MW CHOCOLATE CAKE with ground almonds

125g each of butter & castor sugar
2 eggs
125g golden syrup
45g ground almonds
125g SR
60g cocoa
1/2c milk
1 lined l litre glass dish

  1. Cream together butter & sugar until light & fluffy, beat in the eggs.
  2. Mix in flour and almonds. Stir in milk & golden syrup.
  3. Pour mixt. into prepared dish, mw 2 mins. Turn, repeat x4 (total 8 mins).
