APPLE CRUMBLE
4 large green apples, peeled & sliced
1 Tab soft brown sugar
2 Tab golden syrup
2 Tab lemon juice
TOPPING:
3/4 cup SR
1/2 cup each of dess. coconut, rolled oats, soft brown sugar
100g butter
Brush a shallow 6-cup capacity oven dish with melted butter.
Place apples, sugar, golden syrup & lemon juice in a large pan: cover with a tight fitting lid & cook over low heat for 10 mins or until apples have softened. Spoon apple mixt into oven dish. Preheat to mod 180 degrees C.
MAKE TOPPING:
In a bowl combine flour, oats & sugar and mix well. Make a well in the centre.
Melt butter and pour into bowl with dry ingredients and mix to form a crumble.
Scatter crumble mixture over apples.
Bake for 30 mins or until golden. Serve with ice-cream and or cream.
