MACARONI PUDDING

60g each of macaroni and sugar
500ml (1 pint) milk
2 eggs, well-beaten
juice & rind of 1 orange

Boil macaroni in salted boiling water until tender; drain & wash in cold water.
Put into a pie-dish*:  add milk, eggs, juice and rind. Bake 30 mins in a slow oven.

* you can add some orange marmalade into the pie-dish before pouring in the custard.

LEMON SAGO

1 c sago
1 Tab treacle or golden syrup
1 c sugar
4 cups water
juice of 2 lemons

Put all ingredients into a saucepan and bring to boil, stirring occasionally to keep free from lumps.
Keep boiling til it is clear and thick. Pour into wetted mould to cool.
