WHOLEMEAL WALNUT BROWNIES

125g butter
1c br sugar
4t cocoa
1c wholemeal flour
1 egg
1/2c chopped walnuts

Cr b&s, add egg then other ingredients.
Press about 6mm (1/4″) thick on a greased tray.
Bake in mod oven 20 mins. Cut into fingers while hot.

NUT SLICE

1/2 teacup each of butter & milk
1/2c sugar
3 eggs
1/2c each of chopped walnuts & raisins
2 teacups wheatmeal
1 teacup pl flour
1 tsp BP

Crm b&s, add eggs, then milk, walnuts & raisins. Add sifted drys.
Bake in mod oven on a flat tin on greased paper for 1 hr.
When cool, make butter icing flavoured with v & almond.
Sprinkle extra walnuts over icing and press lightly down.
