DATE & NUT MUFFINS

3 cups SR
3 Tab butter
1 egg
1c dates, chopped
2 Tab sugar
1/2 c chopped nuts
pinch salt

Cream b&s, add beaten egg, then dates, flour & salt.
Add enough milk to mix. Put into patty pans.
Sprinkle with nuts, bake in hot oven for 15 mins.
Split and butter. Serve hot or cold.
