REFRIGERATOR PASTRY (uncooked)
3 c cereal (rice bubbles, cornflakes, weeties)
1/4 c sugar
grated rind of lemon or orange
125g shortening, melted
Crush cereal finely, place in bowl with sugar, rind & shortening. Mix well.
Press mixture into a 20cm greased pie plate and refrigerate several hours until quite firm.
FOR CHOCOLATE PASTRY: omit lemon or orange rind and add 2 level Tabs cocoa and 1 Tab hot milk
