CHOCOLATE NUT CAKE

2-3 eggs
3 Tab butter
1 c SR
1/2 tsp spice
1/2 c sugar
little milk
3 tsp cocoa
125g chopped walnuts
vanilla essence

Beat b&s to a cream, add eggs, then milk, cocoa, vanilla, spice, flour and walnuts.
Cook in a mod oven 29-25 mins, for preference in 20cm square tins.

ICING
1 Tab butter
3 tsp cocoa
4 Tab icing sugar
vanilla flavouring

Blend all together and spread on cake.

SAGO PLUM PUDDING

4 Tab sago
1 c mixed fruit
1/2 tsp bicarb, dissolved in a little milk
1 Tab butter
1 c breadcrumbs
1 tsp spice
1/2 c each of sugar and of milk
SR

Soak sago overnight in enough water to cover well.
Mix b&s, stir in sago, then breadcrumbs and fruit.
Then add milk & bicarb. Then enough SR to bind.
Boil in a floured pudding cloth for 3 hours.
