SPICED BAKED STEAK (try pressure cooking)

1 kg bladebone steak
1 tsp each of sugar & salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tab flour
nutmeg
1 tsp each of worcestershire sauce & vinegar
1 Tab tomato sauce
1/4 cup water

Place steak on flat baking dish or big enamel plate.
Rub flour, nutmeg & seasonings well into it.
Pour over sauce mixture. Stand for 1 hour.
Then cover and bake 2 hours in mod oven, turning once.

SAVOURY CHOPS

chops
3 Tab flour
1 Tab sugar
s/p
1/4 tsp each of grd.ginger, mustard, curry & mixed spice
2 Tab each of tomato sauce and vinegar
1 cup water, stock or gravy
a little chopped parsley

Trim chops, place in buttered dish. Pour mixture over & marinate 1 hour.
Bake for 2 hours in a slow oven.
