HONEY SPONGE

1T butter
1 egg
1c wheatmeal
1t cr of tartar
1c honey
1/2 c milk
1/2 t bicarb
1 dess gr ginger
few grains salt

Crm b&h. Beat egg well, add the milk slowly. Stir in sifted drys.
Pour into a greased tin, bake 15 mins.
Cut in halves and fold together with cream.

HEALTH LOAF – BRAN

1c each of fine wheatmeal & plain flours
2 tsp cr of tartar
1 Tab honey
1c cooking bran
1 tsp each of salt & bicarb
sm cup warm milk – mixed through the honey.

Mix together dries, blend well & make into dough with the honey & milk.
Bake in a nutloaf tin for 3/4 hour.
