Crispy Savoury Tofu
Ingredients
1 block extra firm tofu
3T avocado oil (or any neutral oil of your choice)
1T oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
¾ tsp salt
Fresh black pepper
4 garlic cloves, grated
¼ cup nutritional yeast
baking sheet, whisk
large bowl, teatowel.
1.Drain the block of tofu & cut into ½” cubes. Place on a tea towel, covered top & bottom, to dry.
2.In a large bowl, whisk tog the avocado oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper & garlic.
Add the tofu to the bowl & stir to get the cubes evenly coated.
Stir in the nutritional yeast & toss lightly until the powder is absorbed.
3.Cook the tofu: Preheat oven to 215 degree C (FF) and place tofu on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip & cook for another 10 minutes, until crispy.
4. Serve on top of your favorite salad or on toast.
